About Roger

After qualifying as Chartered Accountant, Roger Gugen worked for Touche Ross in Canada but was quickly drawn towards a career in business. In 1978, he became MD and 50% shareholder of Typhoon International, a survival equipment manufacturer. When he sold his stake in 1996, turnover had increased 6 fold with 70 employees. This was to set a pattern of success that would be repeated many times.

In 1997 Roger turned business advisor and spent two instructive years working for a Government agency. In 2000, he returned to the fray and bought a 25% stake in a TV equipment company. Over the next 5 years, sales increased from £2 to £12m. Ride the Storm has been involved in several successful turnarounds that have substantially rewarded the stakeholders. He helps private companies turning over between £5m and £25m. His expertise includes manufacturing, distribution, catering, restaurants and broadcasting.

Roger has just been awarded Membership of  the Institute for Turnaround (IFT) which is dedicated to helping businesses achieve their full potential.
