Roger Gugen qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1971 and after a spell with Touche Ross in Canada, quickly went into business. In 1978 he became MD and 50% shareholder of Typhoon International Ltd which started life as a niche scuba diving equipment manufacturer. When he sold the company in 1996, it had a London based head office employing 10 people and a factory employing 60. Roger then applied his entrepreneurial skills to helping other companies. From 1997 to 2000 he was a Personal Business Advisor for Business Link London producing some 8 to 10 business reviews per year. One of his clients, Mitcorp (UK), a supplier of broadcast equipment, invited Roger to join the Board. He took a 25% shareholding and over the next 5 years, helped increase the company’s turnover from £2 to £11m.
With experience in sectors as diverse as manufacturing, food distribution, corporate healthcare, broadcasting, events and motor racing, Roger really has a wealth of experience to offer.
